Jeneta Bird

Jeneta Bird, from Poole, feels she was born with a passion for painting and drawing. Her earliest memories are of drawing portraits of her family and trying to copy her fathers collection of old paintings and by doing this she taught herself to paint. Over the years she has experimented with everything she could get her hands on including clay, stained glass, screen printing, stone carving and more.
A frequent visitor to Studland Bay across the ferry, she paints the vast pale beaches and sand dunes with heather and grasses that so depict the feeling of the area.
She is fascinated by the ever changing colours and movement of the sea and how the weather affects the landscape of the dunes.
