One of my Bridgwater circles series from the services and drain covers set. Based on a photograph taken on the way home while out walking, taken of a drain cover set in the pavement with tarmac on the circle opening outside the gentlemen’s Barbers shop. Located on the junction between the start of old Taunton road and St Mary’s Street in Bridgwater, Somerset. The image is so reminiscent of a black hole, like a portal to deep space. I enjoyed the colours, the texture and the energy that it emanates.
The depth of the starry interior, a seemingly far away space accessed only by the circle of stone.
