All at Sea

This image is one of the Bridgwater Circle series of paintings located in the yard at the Sea Cadet hall near the Bridgwater docks, Somerset.
I was taken with the green striped fabric contrasted with the texture of the light sailcloth behind: and the hardness of the circular plate metal which is bolted to a metal rectangle on some sailing/towing equipment. I liked the rich colour of the degrading metal plate’s surface. Notice also the writing etched into the surface.
