This is one of the Bridgwater Circle series of paintings photograph taken in Kings Square Bridgwater, Somerset.
I was surprised to find this lovely green, yellow, cream and black unusual bell push on one of the houses as I was leaving Kings square. The tall town house is situated facing the square garden. The button to press is surrounded by a black donut then an abstract pattern in four sections in a well-rounded square with points on each side and to my mind four twirling dervishes or Kings dancing. Their robes flying out as they twirl, each wearing a crown or elaborate headgear. At each point, there is a large faced daisy swaying in the breeze, reminding me of ‘feed me Seymore feed me’, these are, in fact, the screws keeping it on the wall – one missing its screw.
