This is one of the Bridgwater Circle series of paintings image captured while walking home down the busy Taunton Road, Bridgwater, Somerset. Situated just off the main road, on the new development built on the old Paragon laundry site. The drain cover is in the paving in front of Papa Johns pizza shop.
Astrologically, I was born on the cusp between Pisces and Aquarius. I have always had an affinity with fish and water. I liked the corner of this services cover as it looked like a fish with the screw fixing in the corner making the eye of the fish. The triangle shapes the scales with a scattering of white stones looking like air bubbles.
