This is one of the Bridgwater Circle series of paintings image captured at St. Mary’s church. Famous for its very tall spire, the old wooden ladders for looking after the steeple were kept in the building in which I have my studio, Bridgy Gallery former coach house for St. Saviours House.
A lovely example of hand-made wrought iron work, I muse who made it and how many hands have turned it over the centuries how many times it has been painted, it’s lovely that these items are still in use worn with age and so beautiful.
