Kings Street Tile

This Bridgwater Circle series painting is an example of one of the Victorian glazed tiles on the front of a couple of lovely traditional fronted shops in King Street near Fore Street Bridgwater, Somerset.
I was taken with the shiny green tile reflecting the bright blue sky, the quality of the spring sunshine on the sculpted contours of the tiles still perfect after all these years. This is just one of the lovely details to be found all round Bridgwater.
